KevinM Re Farewell to Stromness, I feel like I’ve heard this before but this is the first time I’ve really listened to it. I think it’s a really beautiful and compelling piece! I do wonder if it’s a bit long for the PIYW recital though.
Last Song, OTOH, is a great length. I played through a few times when you first posted about it a few weeks back and have it on my list to learn, so I would be very happy if this was the piece that got chosen. Also it probably wouldn’t be too hard to modify it to make it a little easier for anyone wanting to do that.
I’ll listen again to the bottom three in the OP (the Glass and Obel pieces) but so far I’m not super keen to play any of those pieces.
So I’m hoping for either one of the Einaudi pieces or either of the Ffrench pieces (Bluebird or Last Song).
I was tempted to suggest an easier Einaudi piece but I will refrain, just so we don’t have too many in the mix to vote for. (Plus I’m pretty sure I suggested it in my original round of suggestions, and since it didn’t make the cut, maybe that means @rsl12 didn’t like it!)
