I thought of adding this to the youtube thread about copyright claims against my own video.
But this is a more malevolent version, and not related to my own videos.
On mine, I've had several companies claiming that a video I posted stole audio from something of theirs. Not true, but at least theirs were actual posted recordings.
What Paul Barton is describing is a second instance in which somebody has stolen his recording, doctored it slightly, claimed it as their own, and filed a copyright claim against Paul. This time, it's for a Beethoven sonata performance he posted 6 years ago.
This is separate from Paul's other recent video where people stole videos he made of his recording of a friend's recent compositions and claimed copyright on them.
