I had planned on doing a piece by Mose Allison but came across this one by Ben Sidran instead. Real fun one. I recorded in my usual way... rough draft, sent to Ted in Texas to do the drumming, got it back and then went to work. All the instruments except the drums and bass are on the GP-295. The guitar was (as always) a challenge.

Jane Ha ha. I was actually thinking "Your Mind is on Vacation". I saw him play years ago and it is still one of my top favorite concerts.

Outstanding! That was a lot of fun. The saxophone was a sampled sound from your piano?! Amazing!

I keep wanting to do this sort of thing, have my wife play drums, I do piano, bass, guitar. Heck, I could probably dust off one of my saxophones and give it a whirl for the first time in damn near 40 years. There aren't enough hours in the day!

BTW, I love your CSP-295GP, looks like Yamaha's equivalent of my Roland GP609. Gotta love a top notch digital in a pretty case and lots of great-sounding speakers!

TC3 Thanks!! Yea, the sax samples are great. Strings, flutes, organ, guitar are all good. I play my own bass but if not the bass samples are really good too. Bending notes is a chore as you have to set it with the pedals. I would prefer a joystick like I used to have on my old korg workstation. Yea, I love the look of the piano. Not familiar with the Roland but not surprised they would have an equivalent.
