The spring semester has ended here, so I’m thinking about my piano plans for the summer…
I’m hoping to take private lessons (i.e. outside of school) with my teacher, so I want to get that set up.
The cellist (the doctoral student who I mentioned in the Alexander thread) said he would be interested in playing with me, so we’re going to try to find some pieces to play together (yay!)
And I’m hoping to put together a 30 minute or longer set of pieces and play them for people, both at my house and also out in public. A while ago, I wrote about playing the piano that’s in an art store at the local mall. I can’t remember if I wrote about this, but I met someone there who also was playing the piano and we exchanged contact info and are going to meet up and play for each other there. The people at the art store like it when someone is playing, they say it brings people into the store and the two times I’ve played there, they’ve said “please come back and play again.” (Actually the last time I played there, when I was finished she said “you can keep playing” 🙂
So that’s what I’m thinking about at the moment.
