I was thinking that too. I have cream colored walls in my piano room, but they are covered with artwork 😅

@Pianoanne said she uses Adobe Premier Pro to do her videos (subscription). She said there's also another software called Davinci Resolve that she used to use that had a free version, but it had some bugs. But that was years ago so possibly worth a try.

I’ve used Adobe Premier Pro (I also received training in Final Cut Pro, although that was long ego ago that I’m sure something things have changed). Anyway, both of them are too much for me. They can do all kinds of things, which meant (for me anyway) they were just too complicated.

That’s why I am looking for something super easy, and basic (i.e. w/o a lot of functions).

I was also thinking to maybe try Kaltura, which my uni has and I can use for free.

I have both Adobe Premiere and Davinci Resolve. IMO Davinci Resolve is the only one worth learning.

It's user friendly (not that you don't need to learn it, but once you learn, everything makes sense and is easy to use)
It can edit video (like Adobe Premiere), add special effects (like Adobe After Effects), edit audio (like Adobe Audition), and soon edit photos (like Adobe Photoshop & Lightroom).
It's free
It's got a huge user base with a ton of how-to tutorials on anything you want to do.

DaVinvci Resolve is for free as well. Since many versions it reported to be very stable. I know it can do everything you need; including transparent overlays. I don't know Kaltura, but if it can do the job as well, go for it.

Well, after all the great advice I’ve received in this thread, I have to apologize. I’m not going to have time before the recital deadline to try to modify the video by adding the score to it. 😅

Maybe I’ll try it over the weekend, but it’s not going to happen before the recital goes live.
