Well played. It is always wonderful if someone can pick favourite pieces at the best level. Glad you found one you are enjoying. The tempo was very stable and you did a good job with the syncopations. Your hands seemed more relaxed than earlier. Still — I think you are not at the end of the hand-relaxation journey, but you are moving in the right direction. Keep going this way, every recital of yours is getting a bit better and your confidence at playing increases every time a bit further.

That was a weird choice of song as we look forward to summer, but it's a nice arrangement and you played it with a delicate touch. Your piano has a lovely sound to it and the audio quality is great. Nice job Navin. 🙂

Likely not to be your intention but I was very much taken with your use of arm weight and wrist for managing the dynamics. I can see myself listening to and watching this multiple times for both the music and the playing.

I remember you mentioned it in the past, and it's wonderful to read such lovely collaboration. You keep on improving, Nightowl! I love how you are starting to use dynamics. Notable spots for me were 0:12 (da DUUUM, da da da), and again in the repeat.
Then around 1:05 and again 1:12, beautiful emphasis on the melody.

Overall your playing was relaxed and rhythmic, very pleasant to listen to.

Nightowl "Christmas in July" is also "a thing" in the US -- usually an excuse for a store or shopping mall to try to generate business with "Christmas in July" sales! 😛

"Australians don’t actually celebrate Christmas during the month of July – that still happens on December 25 when we have a summer Christmas. But it is still a popular new-ish tradition where we enjoy a range of events that happen in July each year and have a wintery feel, so that we can feel a bit like our northern relatives."

Elsewhere the whole "Christmas in July" thing is basically just a way for retailers to start the big build up in July. Anyway, it's totally fine to play Christmas songs at any time of year, if people want to (but for me it seems a bit weird).

That was AMAZING! 🤩 You've created such a catchy song that by the end I was singing along with the chorus and now it's an ear worm! I think that could be a hit song, given the right promotion (although the music industry has changed so much in the last 20 years I've no idea how that would be done nowadays).

That is one gorgeous piece, and very well played. It just flows and sounds lovely. A pleasure to watch your hands glide over the keys. I honestly don't think it needs to be any faster than this, but you are right, the melody shines through this way, and might shine even brighter as you continue to get more comfortable with it. I'm not surprised this is your favourite piece! Everyone's tastes differ, but it is very clearly well within my range of things I enjoy listening to as well.

Gentle music and a fitting image. This type of music seems made for you - I didn't notice any struggles whatsoever, nor any mistakes. So obviously 5 flats and unusual chord patterns are no obstacle for a seasoned player such as yourself 🙂
