I have a fix from AirTurn for this, it's a forScore glitch!!
FORSCORE DOUBLE PAGE TURNS
Make sure your pedal is in MODE 2. To do that make sure the pedal is on. Hold down the Menu button, and let go on the 2nd Red flash.
Pair in Settings>Bluetooth on the iPad.
Open ForScore.Tap on the Toolbox in the upper Right hand corner.
Choose Devices.
Make sure the switch is on in the bottom Right hand corner.
Then tap the word AirTurn in the middle of that window.
Make sure AirTurn Support is on. You will see your pedal listed.
If the pedal has a little i with a circle around it to the right of the pedal name tap on the i, and choose to Forget the AirTurn Device.
If there is no little i with a circle tap on the pedal name, and it will appear. That will allow you to forget it.
Once forgotten, turn off the AirTurn Support switch.
Tap on Devices in Blue in the upper Left hand corner of that window to go back 1 page.
Then turn off the switch in the Lower Right hand corner.
Close the window. Use your pedals.
Backstory: I had emailed AirTurn about a warranty claim for intermittent double page turns, but didn't hear back for over a week. There had also been an issue where I'm convinced that the app is coded wrong with "prioritize speed" and "prioritize battery life" reversed-- I reached out to them over a year ago and never heard back. I ended up calling them and a guy answered right away and he was so helpful! I don't know if they had an issue where emails were getting lost but he reported it to his management, and said that the double page turns are a known issue caused by forScore. He sent me the instructions above which fixed it (it uses the device natively through the iPad vs through the forScore app).
So now my original device is still working fine and I have a second one, but I got it on sale so I decided to keep it as a backup. AirTurn has great customer service if you call them, and I really like my DUO500! If you're using AirTurn with forScore you might want to follow these instructions; my page turns seem faster and more responsive, and the double page turns no longer happen 🙂
