KevinM Oh my, that was absolutely gorgeous! I love it! And I love how your video looks. The keyboard, desk, speakers, and that’s a very nice lamp!
KevinM This is a slower interpretation which hopefully hasn't made it rather tedious.
Not tedious at all. It works really nicely at your tempo, without any feeling of it being too slow.
You may or may eventually find yourself playing it faster. I have recently taken to playing it a little closer to Einaudi’s tempo. But the other day, when I played the piano in the shop at the mall, I played this last and I think I played it much slower than his tempo, and it felt just right. So calm and present.
So I think this is definitely one piece where you can do with the tempo whatever feels right to you. And I hope you continue playing it, and that it brings you peace.
I have also used the una-corda pedal for the whole piece, which gives it a distinct sound.
Ahh, that makes sense. Really lovely. I think your playing really breathes and that’s part of why it works so well. Whether due to the una cords pedal or something else, your piano sounds lovely. Oh and the bass notes are just right.
Bravo!
