I just started relearning Stephen Hough's beautiful transcription of Hello, Young Lovers that I played maybe 20 years ago at one of my Grandmother's birthday parties. If it was 20 years ago, she would have been around 107 and was living in assisted living.
The hardest part of the piece starts around :60 and I had practiced the next 20 seconds more than the rest of the entire piece put together. Just as I got to that passage some one in the audience yelled out "How was the meatloaf tonight, Sam?" I don't remember whether that distracted me enough to mess up the passage.
If anyone wants the pdf of this piece please contact me with your email address. and I will be glad to sent it to you.
