Peyton OMG I love it!! I use to play The Earth Prelude all the time! I can remember playing it in the early days of the pandemic, just feeling like I was trying spin the calm of the notes and bring them to life, trying to breath that calm into the air to dispel the unease that seemed to fill every waking moment during lockdown.
I always play from the score, so when I play this, I play it as written. Not because that's the best way to play it, but because that's the only way I can play it!
So I love the liberties you've taken. And they are very, very true to the musical sensibilities of the piece. What you've done with it is just beautiful!
