I was lucky in a way, as the bones aren't displaced at all, so although it was very painful when it happened, I just thought I'd pulled some ligaments. Only the common sense of somebody else persuaded me to go and have it xrayed 2 days later.
Yes, my foot is in a boot and I have crutches. But I'm allowed to put weight on it, which I did for 2 days before the hospital anyway!
The worst thing about the whole business is that I have to inject myself (a 2cm needle) with a blood thinner because of the risk of blood clots. Oh joy.... 😂 And before anyone asks it's into the fatty tissue around your stomach.
That's enough medical detail I think 😂
