Lyadov Barcarolle op 44

Has anyone learned/played this piece?

I’ve loved it for years and I’m giving it a second look after a first attempt a few years back when it was too difficult for me.

Even though it’s only 60 bars long, it feels very dense and every measure introduces new challenges!
Honestly it feels like the composer did it on purpose.

What do you think about this barcarolle?
Do you have any tips for learning it?

ZigZagStory it's a beautiful piece, I'm not familiar with it or the composer!

It does look like it's full of challenges. My only thought is to try to keep as legato a line in the left hand as possible to keep it flowing 🙂

I worked on this piece a long time ago, although never finished it. I also played some of his short preludes. This piece always reminded me of the Chopin Barcarolle, like a smaller scale version. Beautiful piece!
