iternabe that was absolutely wonderful! Very nicely played and I loved watching your video (as always)!
Sophia Well done! You played this quite well and I thought it was very musical!
Nightowl Congratulations! You did a really nice job with this! Also, I love your video (the moon, the lava lamp! 🙂
Peyton Woo hoo! That was a blast! I love that you had the drumming from Tbell too! But most of all I love the piano part (esp the fills early in the piece, if that’s what they’re called). Was the sax part done with a synthesizer?
keff this is one of my favorite piece! I played an arrangement of it years ago but never got it really down. It seems like you have the notes so maybe next you can work on fluidity. How are you counting it? I seem to remember that I counted it as “one two and three one two” rather than trying to count “one two three four five.” If I might be so bold as to offer a suggestion (at the risk of repeating what you might already know), you might try to do some HS and work on really keeping good time, so that your fingers know where they’re going next. Another thing to do would be to focus on a small section, but link it to the previous and next sections with maybe half of a measure added the beginning and end. I think the key is be very strict about playing in the correct time, so that probably means you have to slow the whole thing down to a tempo where you can play even the trickier parts in good time. I hope you’ll keep working on this and share another recording soon!
KevinM That was truly lovely! The intricate turns in the music are charming and you do a beautiful job with them! I feel like your word, deceptive, is so true! It seems like a sweet little piece, but it really requires depth, which you bring out very nicely!
rogerch Congratulations! This was quite interesting and your title is very apt. I feel like this could be used in a movie, with the intrigue and yes, mystery that you created. You said you did several session, I’m curious how similar and different the piece was each time.
pianocat Oh my, a multi-instrumentalist! Your piano playing is great, and the euphonium sounds beautiful! When you play it at your piano group, what will the other person play? Cello?
Player1 congratulations on your recording! I’m sorry the tremor is such a factor for you, but I’m glad you continue to play. I worked on this piece years ago but never polished it. It’s a truly lovely piece isn’t it!
WieWaldi nice! Truly expert playing, as always! I have never heard this played at such a chill tempo before, it makes me think of a flashback scene in a movie, where someone is sitting at a bar, trying to drown their sorrows and thinking back to simpler days…. 🙂 really nicely played, bravo!
Opal oh my! This is a fantastic piece and you play it just beautifully! I want to see the score now, I also find things with a big spread to be quite difficult when there’s some added technique. This piece just sounds very challenging but you did a great job with it!
Ok, time to get ready for work, I’ll be back with more comments soon! 🙂
