KevinM Thank you for listening and for your kind words. I really like the sound of this instrument through the speakers and find that it's not hard to adjust from this instrument to an acoustic grand at my lessons or for live performances.
WieWaldi This is a great piece to learn. Deciding how much to pedal is always tricky and I make some decisions in my approach here that are different from other times that I have played it. Mostly informed by the score, but sometimes a bit strict. Or it could be times that I just didn't pedal it as intended but I don't know for sure in this particular performance. Glad you liked it and thanks for your comment.
Nightowl That's funny, I completely understand what you're saying about my comment. For context, I submitted this after 7am on the recital day and I uploaded this video that was directly from my phone recording. I normally would at least run it through audacity or something but this one is untouched and so I wasn't quite sure how it would go. I didn't really plan to submit this particular recording. Thank you for your generous words...There is some comfort in my playing of this piece because I have re-learned it more than once so this is probably at least the 3rd time I re-learned it. Partly because it's a very rewarding piece to play but also because for some reason I always walk away from it without getting a definitive video recording. And once again I'm at risk of doing that because I already performed it recently and still now haven't properly recorded it and already deep in learning something else so I'm not sure I will bother to record it again. Oh, and my profile pic is Johannes Brahms! π
