rsl12 BTW, Laura is a great movie, and I recommend you see it, if you haven't already! The theme you play features prominently. Good dynamics, and it sounds very polished!
Thanks! Indeed, I haven't seen the movie, but I guess Alfred's mostly chooses music that is out of copyright to save on license fees.
rsl12 You have some rhythm irregularities. I've noticed it a few times in your previous recitals, so it may be worth spending some extra attention to making sure your rhythm is correct.
I'm aware I have rhythm difficulties, but how do you detect it? To me, when I'm playing, my rhythm lapses don't feel like they matter much at all... I'm always focussed more on the melody and feeling. Yet, you are consistently able to detect my rhythm lapses. (My sister can do this as well btw, though she has the advantage of having trained in Indian classical dance.)
What I struggle with, for example, is that to me, 4/4 is a meaningless concept in of itself. Because I don't get the meaning of it, sometimes, I treat music as 1/1 and it doesn't phase me.
It always amazes me that people can point out my rhythm mistakes, because I can't myself. I guess I should take myself more seriously.
