Ha... I was waiting to post a proud "six months!" but alas, life had other plans 😆 I just reported my absence yesterday. But... I had a good reason (not that I need one but it's a cool story) 😃
Night before yesterday we had the most spectacular thunderstorm we had ever seen. That wasn't just us saying it, our neighbours confirmed it. The sky was specularly lit up, with non stop flashes as far as we could see in every direction (and we can see far). It was like a fireworks display - vivid purple and green and blue and yellow, horizontal lightning streaks that covered the entire sky. I'm not exaggerating, never seen anything like it.
Of course we had very high winds as well, with lots of damage to trees and structures (thankfully no damage for us). So, no surprise at all, our power went off. Well, power went off almost everywhere. And, no power means no piano, in my case. Long story still long, we were without electricity all day yesterday, it finally came back on just before midnight. Some people are still without power now, we can't complain!
That, my friends, is the story of why I didn't practice yesterday. ⚡
