I know I dropped in briefly a while back, but I did not return to playing at that time.

I have now recently retired and noticed myself look forlornly at the unused MP11SE sitting in the room with a feeling of desire to play again.

I've vacuumed, wet dusted confirmed that everything still works. Well the sounds from the computer do but the MP11SE sounds themselves are silent, so I'll have to investigate that sometime.

I'm very much out of practice so it is going to be a long time to even recover to the level I reached before I disappeared from the piano world forum.

I had a nice look through the Novus 12 discussion yesterday. Now that looks like an interesting beast. I'll see if I will get back to playing seriously before considering that, which provides time to get proper user reviews in the meantime.

I hope all the pianotell/world people are doing well.

I missed your music so I very much hope you can revive some of your former passion and dedication to the art.

You'll probably find you remember more than you think, the more you start playing, especially with your favorite pieces.

Nice to hear from you again.

Over the years I've slowed down but have not stopped playing completely. Every year people's birthday would come up and then there is Christmas. I'm always inclined to send people greeting cards during special occasions. On top of that I'm the first in the family who would record myself playing "Happy Birthday" in different keys and forward it to someone by Email when the day would come up. Now it's December. Besides sending people a Christmas card which many people would do, I'd be forwarding recordings of myself playing Christmas tunes as well.

As busy as my schedule can be, I've always find a few minutes in between to play some easy pieces. I'd find easy arrangements of songs online up to 2 pages. Stopping completely in the early stages is not good because you don't have a good foundation and would take time to relearn a lot of things. I keep an Alfred Adult Piano Course 1 & 2 at home. 10 min a day is all it takes to learn 1 easy beginner song to keep my fingers moving.
