Piano music light

My piano teacher found the Vekkia Music Stand Light on Amazon. It operates on a rechargeable battery, 5 brightnesses, 3 color temperatures, lightweight, adjustable/flexible neck and under $30.00. Amazon had it at my front door in 3 days.
(The unit is similar to the $200. + tubular light that plugs into the house mains.)
I've used this product for a week and find it a perfect light for gigging, illuminating a choral score when the lighting in the church is less than bright.
It lights 3 pages of music taped together. Perfect for me, hope it works for you.
By the way, I don't own Amazon and will not receive a pink cadillac as a kickback if you purchase one.

The way I got to this light was go to Amazon and in the search bar type: Vekkia, Foldable 88 LED Music Stand Light. The cost is about $29.00 without their Prime Scheme. It has a rechargeable battery that lasts about 80 to 100 hours. Directions say to give it a full charge every 6 months but if its used 3 or 4 hours/day the warning light will begin to blink sooner than that.
It is light and simple, comes with a carrying bag, clips on the music stand on the piano and lights up to 3 pages of music. And you're right, it does simplify lighting! Hope this answers your questions. Lente

I'm getting $64 CAD (Canadian dollars) which comes to $46 US dollars. Interestingly the US Amazon shows $25 and for $8 I could have it shipped to Canada which would come to a total of $46 CAD doing the conversion.

Vekkia itself is based in China, so why the discrepancy?

It would seem the product is popular in North America as many choir members are snapping them up for the lighting is notoriously bad in the lofts and vestibules where choirs frequently sing. That said, Amazon will maximize their profit. I wonder what the piano light's cost would be on Tenu, a China based platform.

I have been using the light for the past eight or so days and I've had to recharge (3 hours) once. So much for 80 hours per charge. My teacher plugs directly into the mains. Other than that and Amazon's marketing schemes, I'm happy with the piano light. Happy Holidays!

@Lente I'm not actually looking for a light, but I was curious about cost, and then wondered whether it might actually be useuful to have. You gave a dollar amount, but without the country (American, Canadian, Australian dollar) - I assumed USD - out of idle curiosity I looked it up. It was interesting to discover that if I purchased it from the US Amazon I'd pay considerably less, even adding in $8.00 (USD) for shipping. When you referred to "mains" I thought you might be in Britain, but you gave a dollar and not pounds amount.

I found the price discrepancy enlightening. I've also heard about different prices being quoted to different customers through some kind of tracking system. I'm a prime member and was logged in when I looked.

I'll be more thoughtful when I try to explain slippery stuff like currency and systems. I apologize for the confusion. One thing is universal though - the lighting is generally poor for reading music on stage anywhere, be it cathedral or honky tonk!

No confusion. I assume that when "dollars" are mentioned, they'll be US dollars.
