Well, I had a shot of Crown Royal tonight to celebrate something special so on a lapse in judgment decided to make a clip of what things look like on a Day 10, although I didn't practice everyday (I must have skipped 2-3 days), so maybe it's more a Day 7?
I'm not sure know why I'm doing this, maybe to throw a bone to my multiple haters. No, seriously, this is to show what the atrocity normally looks like at this stage. Warning: this is to be seen as a 'making of' or 'behind the scenes' clip. VERY long pauses, and often at the wrong places:
I cut out some parts where I do obscene gestures, sorry.
Now as you can see, it is chaotic, it is ugly, with MANY pauses and hesitations. And you can see how much I struggle to do the groupings correctly. Only the pauses AFTER the first downbeats of each bar are intentional! There are places where you can hear disastrously long pauses BEFORE downbeats (especially in the second half of the clip), well those are unintentional, or, to quote my haters, failures (go ahead haters, pleasure yourself). And yet, I don't care, because as the progress continues, those unintentional pauses go away gradually, because that's what the intentional pauses lead to, and I don't even know why it works! And from then on I can easily decrease the intentional ones to a minimum and the product should sound near final by then. Maybe I'll post it here. But I don't drink often.
p.s. I admit the camera put me in some performance mode that I hate to be in when I practice. In reality I tend to repeat each unit much more often before moving on to the next one, oh well.
