Hello friends! This piece has a simple structure and melody, but I promise you—it’s stuck in my head. The tune is as catchy as glue! So much so, that I’ve decided to write Christmas lyrics for it and have my students sing it. Once it’s ready, I’ll share the result with you.
The title is Recuerdos (Memories), and it was inspired by the act of remembering—wandering through moments from my childhood, or times with family members who are no longer here and whom I deeply miss. Memory is about reliving and gently reshaping what we’ve lived, always for the better.
I hope you enjoy it. Musically, around halfway through the piece, I imagined it arranged for voices—and you’ll notice that by the end, I’ve added a second vocal line, fully intended for when the children perform it. Less is always more.
Leave me your comments—I’d love to hear from you!
