@Seeker was kind enough to share his experiences with his new Pixel 9 Pro, so I took advantage of the upgrade offer and bought one.
This is a casual video I made today to check out the phone and see whether I could get audio into it directly from my digital piano. (I know that a lot of people record the audio separately, but this was just an audio-to-USB adapter from my laptop into my phone.)
(I would dust my piano. But when you dust it, they just send more dust...)

Do you have a Disklavier? Very fancy indeed, playing on an acoustic, but recording to digital on VI Labs Modern D. This is kind of the pinnacle of piano technology.

And are you playing from memory? The iPad doesn't seem to be on.

navindra Wow yourself! Thanks for the kind words. 🙂
It's an original N3 Avant Grand (not the newer N3X). Obviously, neither the piano nor moi was cleaned up to record this.
The N3 predates USB for MIDI, so there are the old DIN-5 connectors which I bring into a Scarlett interface that connects to my laptop.
It would probably be better to record the audio separately on the laptop, but for this I'm just running an adapter cable from the Scarlett's audio out to a USB-C connector going into my phone.
The iPad is off, yes. That's a 6-year-old tablet. I also have a newer one. The forScore app lets you sync two iPads so you can have two pages in view at once, which is a lot more convenient than single pages. But this particular prelude I can usually get through by memory.

The recording you shared here sounds very nice, so the question would be is it worth the extra trouble. I have a Zoom H4N recorder but I stopped using it long ago because even though it’s better than the sound quality I get from recording on my phone, it’s not that much better. And when I thought about all the extra steps, I decide I’d it just wasn’t worth the trouble. Granted, I’m recording an acoustic, so with a digital, there may be more to gain for you, I don’t know.

But I think it sounds great! And so does your playing! 💕🎶💕

Anyway, don’t listen to me, I think I must be the laziest PT-er when it comes to recording… 😁

Jane Looks and sounds great to me, the playing and the recording. You may want to fiddle with the white balance settings on the Pixel. You scroll up on the frame and they are hiding beneath (as I recall). Until I read how you had made the recording I thought you were playing a C7'. My own experience with the AvantGrands is several generations old at this point, but the ones I played looked and sounded great "live" as well as on recordings. Highly recommended to folks who want the feel of an acoustic without many of the maintenance hassles that come with them.
