Would someone please tell me the advantages/disadvantages of a 19" versus a 21" grand piano light? I've been looking at the Coco brand which is used at the music center, but don't know which size they are.
Thank y'all very much, Lente

I have the Coco 22 inch lamp and have been happy with it for the last 8 years or so. It does cast a shadow, as ShiroKuro mentioned, but I got used to it right away and it doesn’t bother me. I have an overhead ceiling light that deemphasizes that shadow at night, or when it’s a dark day. If you have played on a grand at the music center with this type of light, you can decide for yourself if this shadow concerns you. You could read some online reviews to see if people mention any difference between the 19 and 21 or 22 inch lamps.
Hi ShiroKuro and PianogriNW,
Thank you for the observations. In the few times I've used the piano, the ambient light diffused and shadows and it would be hidden at my house as well.
I've now read other on-line remarks in their favor, so I believe I'll buy a 22" Coco. Thank you both for your help and enjoy the Summer! Lente
Torn by indecision(?? no, never!) I wound up buying two cocoweb lamps. There's no other useful light on the keyboard and I like to see the keys as well as the music.
Since my hybrid N3 has a good resting spot above the right end of the keyboard, I bought one desk model and one floor-standing.

That looks very nice, @Jane !
I thought about putting a lamp in that spot on my acoustic grant, but I always keep my piano closed when I'm not playing, so I decided it wouldn't work for me.
I also suspect that the music desk, and that spot on a music desk, of an acoustic grand, is not as sturdy (for lack of a better word). For example, I decided I didn't want to put my phone stand there (which I use when recording) bc the stand seems quite heavy.
for the record, here's the stand, the base is heavy to prevent it from toppling over. I would guess that the table-top stand for this light is heavy as well.
