I have seen many red pianos that I like (Elton John’s red Yamaha comes to mind, and didn’t Freddie Mercury have one??) but this one? Maybe it’s the colors in the room itself, but I really don’t like how this looks. Also, the bench is not working for me.

Here’s their “Pops Collection” — as in a Pop of color I guess:

ShiroKuro didn’t Freddie Mercury have one??

Nope, Freddie Mercury’s Yamaha G2 was black.

But Elton John is famous for playing a red Yamaha, and I think Yamaha sells one that has his name on it? Anyway here’s his piano, the bench is much better imo

Looks tacky in my opinion. If it was a beautiful sounding piano, I wouldn't reject it, but then I'd cover it with a cloth as much as possible. I can't imagine what kind of decor would look decent with that. My opinion only, and of course there's no accounting for taste.

Ah, the good looking vs. good sounding dilemma. If I had the option of getting this Steinway vs. a better looking but worse sounding piano I could probably live with the red. On the other hand the fancy unicorn S&S from the other thread would be out of the question no matter how good it sounds. 🤣

Hypothetically, this color would work fine if the walls were all-black or all-white, to allow for the redness to stand out. Otherwise it becomes an eyesore!

HeartKeys I was also thinking that the room needs to be black!

I saw an Elton John series Yamaha in Singapore a few years ago. I think it was in a white room on a platform in a very modern space, and I think it worked there!

yeah, it's definitely the room... Well and that bench. 😃

ShiroKuro yes, the bench needs to be a matching red, and I think tufted would be a lot more comfortable!

I think the wall color works (also other colors like purple, dark brown etc will also work). But floor should be a slate gray (hardwood or tile).
I'd take that piano if it's free and plays well.. I'd just put decals all over it 😉

A modern looking piano in a somewhat traditional looking house. That’s why the piano feels like displaced.
