I've been going through the People Pleasing Piano Pieces thread to find my next pieces to learn. I think I found one, so thanks a lot for the suggestions!

One piece I want to add to my repertoire is an arrangement of Clocks:

I purchased this one some time back. It's pretty decent actually, but I think it's too faithful to the original, which makes it repetitive on piano with literal repeats in the music.

Can anyone recommend a sweet solo arrangement of Clocks for piano?

Sorry I can't recommend any particular arrangement. However have you looked on Sheet Music Direct.com ?

keff Thanks! Yes, I bought an arrangement from them previously, but while it's good, I think it's too faithful/repetitive.

I'm wondering if there might be an interesting arrangement for piano that has the essence of the song while not necessarily having to be so faithful.

This is my go to song to play whenever I’m at a public place. They almost always like the song.

For this particular song I’d strongly recommend to take the chords approach and then add melodies thereafter, which provides for slight improvisation and allows self to make it sound better.

Most modern music’s scores are pretty poor, especially given they’re not piano songs as a whole.

If you DM me I can share with you my approach.

@navindra check MusicNotes and hunt through the piano solo arrangements. For each one, scroll to the bottom and find the ones that have a YT video of the arranger playing it. Then you can decide if you like the arrangement before buying.

There are a few people who do great arrangements and I’ve found some like this.

Also I think I might have an arrangement of Clocks that I like, so I’ll see if I can find it.

Have you tried Francesco Parrino’s arrangement? There’s some YouTube tutorials of it as well. Could be a starting point anyway

I made my own arrangement of this song a while back! While I don't have the sheet music, I could definitely notate some sections if you're interested. It's a simple song structure, Eb major -> Bb minor -> Ab major.

@navindra Ok, I don't have this score but here are some of the arrangers I always check:

Francesco Parrino, as @danno858 mentioned, his score is on MusicNotes, as is this one by Philip Keveren if you want an easier version

I think I like this one by Katherine Cordova better than Parrino:

Or this one by Neil Archer (he's newly on my list after learning about his arrangement of Smooth Operator)

lastly if I want something easier I check arrangements by Jennifer Eklund (her "later intermediate" arrangements are usually easy for me, but her easy arrangements are usually too bare-bones for me)
