Thought I'd add this post about the equipment set-up.,
I've got a Lenovo 1080p webcam mounted over the keyboard.
The camera for the main shot is an Olympus OM-5.
You can't see the microphone; it is an Endora, a kit built microphone with what I find a very sweet sound and extremely low noise floor. It has TWO capsules mounted back to back.
You can see the Venta humidifier in the foreground.
Both pianos also have Piano Life Saver systems on them.
Note the bass trap; it really helps clarify the sound. You can also see some of the other sound treatment materials mounted on the ceiling.
I run sound into my computer through a FireFace 800 using Firewire.
Video is through USB.
I use OBS to merge the audio and video, position the images, and produce the recordings.
Any post-processing is done with PremierePro and Audition.
Usually for video it's trimming heads and tails, adding a title screen.
For audio, I have found with Endora that all I need do is widen the stereo image if I use just ONE Endora.
Thanks to all of you who helped me through the decision making process and getting the technology to play together. Much appreciated.
