Sharing this video I just stumbled upon, of the pianist playing some Bach.

The piano is a K.Kawai (ie., not Shigeru Kawai) concert grand I believe (judging based on how much bass there is, and the tonal depth and eye test of size).. I don't see those very often, as they're mostly all Shigeru's now.

Anyway, this piano has a particularly resonant bass (it sounds great with earphones), and the mid-section sounds slightly warmer than Shigeru's I'm accustomed to.

For this particular piece, it works very well in evoking all sorts of emotions to the listener.

Can magnify a frame and see the K. Kawai on the fallboard, so that assessment was correct.

    Yep, the part I wasn’t 100% certain at the time was whether it was a concert grand vs a semi concert.

    Based on the style of casters, I think it is a 9' EX and not a 7'6" GX-7 or 7' GX-6. The robust bass feels like an organ pedal point.
