Animisha Additionally, the joints in the fingers, especially those at the base, can experience stress, which is a concern for individuals with conditions such as osteoarthritis.

Just adding that not only is it a concern for people who already suffer from arthritis, the additional wear and tear on the joint cartilages caused by repetitive stretching also increase the risk to develop the condition.

Dunno why - YouTube algorithm seems to think I have small hands. (Nope - my hands are so average sized, it seems they define the average)

Another Asian looking woman giving tips - IMO more practical, more realistic and taking care about health.

I love the chart, it's very revealing and explains why the majority of famous pianists are/were men.

I always knew my hands were large for a woman, but I've just measured them and found that I have a span of 9 inches - it's official, I have "pianist's hands"!!! This delights me, as it seems like some compensation for the fact that I can never buy nice women's gloves because they are always too small, so I have to be content with buying men's gloves.

The keyboard looked interesting and is something that I might be tempted to consider upgrading to in the future, if my DP breaks down or becomes unreliable one day, but not at that price - it is astronomical! Maybe in time the price will come down, but in the meantime there are some other keyboards around with narrower keys, and probably some second hand upright pianos with slightly smaller keys too, so these might be useful for keen pianists who struggle with standard width keys. Anyway, my fingers are not slender, so I might find the 5.5 octave keyboard slightly too narrow for my hands.
