twocats iternabe one thing I noticed is that your left hand isn't lifting up when you're playing staccato. When I think staccato, I think bounce. I'm not in front of my piano right now but in my mind the wrist is higher and you're doing a light bounce after playing the chord. I think when you have your wrist so static you don't have as much control.
@twocats I gave it a try, and immediately realized the root cause of my lack of bounce - because I don't have a cat (or two)! It's a very cat-like movement of touch-and-bounce π!
On a serious note, I feel this is going to take me a long time to achieve accuracy and consistency. Even playing at mf and above I am having ghost notes here and there. I believe it was you who noted in my other video that in chords I was not pressing all notes of a chord at the same time? Well, in staccato that problem really shows, and I got to address that, too. I have been trying to make my chords more even and controlled in my daily practice of cadence. I should probably add staccato to the cadence practice, too.
Thanks again for leading me down the promising path!
