Here's a recording from 2017 that I made on my old CLP535 (no longer owned).
I pre-recorded the bass line.

This is a good representation of my non-classical playing.
A blues player who can fake a bit of Jazz.

Simonb Gorgeous! I love that tune, and what a great album.

That kind of playing is well beyond me at the moment, but I'm hoping someday to get there. My plan for the moment is to focus on blues and boogie, then get a bit more into the jazzy side of blues, then the bluesey side of jazz, and then finally full-fledged jazz! I might need to retire for that last step, though ...

    Enthusiastic but mediocre amateur.

Agree with TC, gorgeous tune and so delicately played. Except when you crunched all those notes which made me green with jealousy 😂 How dare you two put words like "average" and "mediocre" in your signatures! 🙃

    Hi Sophia

    It's all relative of course.
A pro would pick serious holes in it!

    Simonb Great playing!
I wouldn't even know where to start to play in that style. 👍

    Thanks Rob

Essentially it's a variation on a blues in G, but in 6/8 time.
    Practise your G blues licks!

Way too cool...awesome work! I feel like I ought to be able to tap my foot to the beat like that whenever I play.
